Axolotl Pin

This Enamel Pin was inspired by the impressive and illusive CRITICALLY ENDANGERED Axolotl! 

• A species of salamander native to the freshwater of Lake Xochimilco and Lake Chalco in the Valley of Mexico.
• Related to the tiger salamander. Not related to mudpuppies, though they look similar.
• As of 2020, wild axolotls were NEAR EXTINCTION.
• Axolotls are unusual among amphibians. Instead of taking to the land, adults remain aquatic and gilled.
