• A species of mantis native to East Asia. A member of the Hierodulagenus known as Hierodula Salomonis.
• Hierodula is a genus of praying mantids in the tribe Hierodulini, found throughout Asia.
• There are over 2,400 species of mantises worldwide, in warmer climates.
• Some have wings.
• Some are cannibalistic.
• Sometimes males and females are different colors and sizes.
